Durham University Spaceflight accepted into Spaceport America Cup

Excellent result for Durham University Spaceflight being accepted into the Spaceport America Cup! Read their LinkedIn post below.

This was a great weekend for our society!

We are delighted to announce that we have been accepted into the 3 km COTS category of the Spaceport America Cup, the world's largest and most prestigious rocketry competition! This achievement marks a significant milestone for our team, and we are extremely proud and excited to be part of such an amazing event. The competition represents an excellent progression from our victory at Mach-23, propelling us towards new heights.

Being the sole English representative in the competition adds an extra layer of responsibility, but we are confident in our ability to showcase English rocketry on the global stage!

We would like to especially thank the organisers of the event Experimental Sounding Rocket Association and our mentor and Flyer of Record, Colin Rowe, as well as our sponsors Durham University Department of Physics, Durham University Department of Engineering, Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, and VIPER RF for the support of our society, without which our participation would be impossible.
