Working groups.

The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

These groups are voluntary and include those who have an interest in a number of themes. Broadly, they:

  1. Review the work done so far in these areas

  2. Share updates, gaps and opportunities

  3. Help shape and propose value propositions and projects 

Skills & talent pipeline

Representatives from further and higher education institutions, professional associations such as the Institute of Physics, businesses and skills specialists in key adjacent sectors meet with the goal of establishing the North East as the region renowned for hosting a pool of talent relevant for the space sector as well as tackling shared challenges. 

Marketing & place making

Professionals from partner organisations come together to raise the profile of the region. They also share ideas for initiatives and activities where the business of space can help raise aspirations and sense of pride in the region.

Market focus areas

These areas reflect the priority market segments for the region. They focus on key technologies and applications markets for which the region wishes to be recognised: resilient communications – RF and optical; space sustainability and Earth Observation for climate change.
