Facilities for Academia is an exciting new opportunity for researchers at PhD level and beyond, hosted in UK-based universities and research organisations. From testing drones, antennas and RF, to additive manufacturing and in-orbit assembly, this is an exciting chance to accelerate the development and commercial readiness of innovative technologies by enabling access to world-class facilities for demonstration and feasibility testing where you do not have access to such facilities otherwise. We hope to support the progression of technologies through TRLs, with TRL advancement being a key success criterion.
The fund is opening for applications in October 2025.
