Space North East England member Filtronic has been shortlisted for the Company of the Year Award at the AIM Awards 2026.

The nomination recognises the company’s continued growth and investment in its people, technology and manufacturing capabilities.

Based at NETPark in County Durham, Filtronic designs and manufactures RF, microwave and millimetre-wave components and systems for the telecommunications, space, aerospace and defence sectors.

Its technology supports demanding communications applications, including the high-frequency links needed by satellite networks. The company has continued to expand its manufacturing capacity and strengthen its position within international space and communications markets.

The recognition follows a series of developments for Filtronic, including new contracts and investment in the technologies and facilities needed to support its future growth.

Filtronic’s progress also highlights the satellite communications and advanced-electronics expertise found across North East England. These capabilities are an important part of the region’s space cluster, supporting the development and manufacture of technology for national and international space programmes.

The AIM Awards celebrate the achievements of companies and individuals operating within the UK’s AIM market. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony later this year.

Congratulations to the Filtronic team on the nomination.
