Space North East England member Filtronic says it is well positioned for further growth following major space-sector contract wins and continued investment in its people, technology and manufacturing capabilities.
The NETPark-based company designs and manufactures advanced radio frequency, microwave and millimetre-wave technology for the space, aerospace, defence and telecommunications markets.
Filtronic reported revenue of £55.5 million for the year ending 31 May 2026. During the year, it secured a record multimillion-pound agreement with SpaceX, further work with a US satellite customer and a contract worth more than £5 million with a European aerospace manufacturer.
The company enters its new financial year with a record order book, a broader customer base, increased manufacturing capacity and a growing portfolio of technologies.
Chief executive Nat Edington said: “The business has never been better positioned.”
Filtronic’s continued progress demonstrates the specialist engineering and manufacturing capability within North East England’s space cluster and the region’s growing role in international satellite communications supply chains.
